We arrived quite late. Just 10 minutes before the kitchen close. The Lady who was dealing with check inn and also bar made sure we have a dinner order quickly so we don’t stay hungry. She really made the effort and a fantastic impression. The food was absolutely delicious. The service outstanding. After she showed us the room and answered all our questions. Lovely stay . Thanks

The guidebook in the room was very helpful and provided information about things to do in the Lake District area, by foot or car. I took a 45 minute walk around the nearby farm and enjoyed quiet, scenic views. The unit we stayed in consisted of a large living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bath with shower and tub. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both meals were scrumptious. There was a great vibe at dinner and it was clear that this is not just a spot for guests, but also popular with the locals. Parking was available just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Extremely good value for the price paid . Delightful spacious room with oh so comfy beds . Yummy breakfast included in the price . We had dinner there too and the standard was very high. The staff made us so welcome and we felt like VIP visitors . Completely positive experience and will definitley return if they will have us ( after inadvertently damaging the curtain runners in our bedroom ) If we are forgiven please can we come again? 😁

We had such a lovely stay. The room was spacious, had a lovely powerful shower, and was warm. Our room was dog friendly too which meant we could stay with our pooch. The staff was so friendly, the breakfast had plenty of choice, and we loved having a pub as part of the hotel so we could have dinner on-site. The hotel is also well located, and was perfect for a visit to Kendal.

Our stay at The Glen Guest House was very memorable for all the right reasons: our hosts were very friendly - nothing was too much trouble. It was an ideal location, the breakfasts were excellent and the rooms very clean. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Very comfortable stay at the Gilpin Bridge Inn; although took a bit of finding as the satnav sent us to Levens village instead, but that was not the fault of the Inn! Had a delicious meal and breakfast was very nice. Would recommend.

Lovely quiet guest house just out of town. Very comfortable room with a couch and good size bath/shower with plenty of hot water. Good hot breakfast. Parking space for our car. Pauline and Bill were wonderful hosts. Also recommend The Station Inn, a short walk away, for a delicious dinner.
