We recently stayed at the Horse and Groom for five night and we can really say it has been fantastic! The owner and everybody who works there are so friendly and nice, really the best hosts you could wish for. Rooms are great and cozy and the pub with its wonderful fire place is worth your visit. Perfect ambience. We’d just arrived in the UK and headed straight to chipping Norton. The restaurant was great. Staff was very friendly w excellent service. The room had old Atmosphere But had recently been nicely remodeled. The fox is in the heart of the town of Chipping Norton. Plenty of sites to see and restaurants within walking distance. We loved it. Nice Cotswolds Experience with out the crowds.

Red Lion Inn really made an impression on me. It was so incredibly cozy--my room was a tiny attic room, and yet I had everything I needed, and enjoyed snuggling up there. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinners even more, the latter when it got nice and lively at night by the fire. This place is everything you want an English countryside inn to be.
