A lovely hotel placed in Lydford. I got room number 1 with a nice terrace over the garden. We could park our motorbikes at their parking without any problem, and spent some time walking around. Lydford is a quite small village and it depends on Cadtle Inn, who has various places to place people. The village can be seen in 10 minutes, and it is a charming one. Very nice rooms, nice garden where relax having a drink, and also the best fish and chips we tried in Wales and the UK. Service was excellent. Ah, try the mussels in a spicy sauce, delicious. What else can we ask?

The Inn is an old building so don't expect acres of glass and shiny surfaces, it is a bit rustic and we like it that way. Dinners in the evening are very well presented and full of flavour. House kept his character. Gardens are extremally well maintained. Dog loved running in the fields. Staff is amazing, I requested fan and it was deliver in no matter of time. Great afternoon tea. Small box with dog threats it is very nice gesture. Stay was very pleasant.

Our room was quite well decorated but some of the furniture rather more worn than atmospheric. The courtyard and tables at the front of the hotel are very nice for pre-dinner drinks. The location is very good as a base as well as being attractive. The staff were generally helpful and supportive.
