Situated in Ashton under Lyne and within 7.7 km of Clayton Hall Museum, The Broadoak has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The property is set 9.2 km from Etihad Stadium, 11 km from Piccadilly Railway Station and 12 km from Greater Manchester Police Museum. Canal Street is 12 km from the inn and Victoria Baths is 13 km away.

We liked staying here as it was close to the places we wanted to visit. We are from New Zealand and wanted to visit various places where our ancestors lived 250 years ago.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

The room was larger than expected. I stayed in Boat & Horses Inn for 4 nights after Christmas. The inn is in a nice location because I could travel to Peak District, Leeds, and Manchester city centre within 1 hour by car. There's free parking and the food in the restaurant is nice.

I accidentally booked the evening after I arrived (after driving down from Newcastle in the snow). Staff were very courteous and moved the booking for me, I felt like an idiot but they were fantastic. Room was great, food was exceptional, location was ideal for what I was doing. Strong chance I'll be back next time I'm getting tattooed. That Sunday dinner is unreal. Cheers!

Warm, friendly and extremely welcoming. My room was fitted with everything I could need. Despite it being a busy New Years Eve all the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed; despite my arrival to book in when they were about to start hosting a New Years Eve dinner party.
