We loved the authentic English countryside. We were lucky enough to secure the last room. The location was off thd beaten track but it wax busy... the room was quaint in thisc17th century mill. There was an outside area with picnic table a carport above a creek. The low doors and ceilings were as expected... we had a few pints & dinner which were all very good....the breakfast was plentiful & made to order. there were only 8 rooms, comfy bed & pillow. Serviceable ensuite. This property is a great find, exactly what we hoped for in our holiday travels. This is not a property for anyone with mobility issues.

This is the quintessential countryside English pub. As an American visiting the UK, this was the highlight of our whole trip. Stewart the pub owner is beyond helpful. They know all the local sights, histories, and legends. The food is great, the beer is fresh, and the rooms are surprisingly modern and cozy.

Offering an Italian restaurant, Villa Bianca B&B is located in the centre of Penrith. It offers bed and breakfast accommodation and free WiFi.

The inn is 6.8 km from Whinfell Forest. Newcastle International Airport is 79 km away.

Massively positive place. The owners are ridiculously helpful at all times. There is a restaurant downstairs which is lovely - they do massive pizzas - see my photo. Rooms are functional and very good value for money. Very comfy beds, electric shower and tea and coffee provided in the room. Parking is available 4 min walk away, quite literally not really even that. It is £5 for 10 hours so pretty much £5 a day you can stop outside and upload the car with ease. Parking is in bluebell car park. Breakfast is available - great quality. We had offers of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and then cooked breakfast as well amazing value. It is served 0800-0900. Coffee was also greattttt quality - and I like my coffee!

We had a lovely stay, we can’t thank the host enough! It was everything we hope for and more! The Shepherds hut had everything we needed and the hot tub was great (it does take a few hours to heat up but lovely once it’s ready!) It was my partners birthday and there was a little sign up and a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately we couldn’t get into any of the local pubs for food but we did go to a pub a 20 minute drive away in Mungrisdale called Mill Inn, which was a really nice traditional country pub.

We stayed at The Ginney guest house for a night. The owners very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and well presented. The room was comfortable and the guest house close to the lakes and a town with good pubs and restaurants.

Historic inn with great character, good beer and food. The room was clean if a little on the small side. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The only addition we would have liked would be fruit.
