We were greeted by very friendly staff who genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. The rooms were exceptional, clean & most of all very comfortable. Dinner was sublime & was more fitting to a top London restaurant than a pub in Hampshire. We were all really impressed & said we would return.

Charming 16th century inn in a delightful small Hampshire town. Well-appointed, quiet location, friendly and helpful staff, extensive common areas and comfortable bar. Only slight fly in the ointment was that the room, which called itself a 'superior' room, was smaller than anticipated.

We had a nice stay. Shame the restaurant had shut by 9 as we arrived 9.15 and were too late for dinner. The website had warned about the noise from the function suite below our room. It did not spoil things for us, but it was VERY loud and if you need to be in bed before 11 you may want to request a different location within the hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. Nice breakfast. Would return if we were in the area again
