Great historic atmosphere. Highly recommend the murder mystery - very entertaining & the food was delicious. Really appreciated the free breakfast & later checkout time than many properties (11 am).

We had a delicious evening meal of fish & chips and chicken supreme and a freshly cooked full English breakfast the next morning. Our host, the lovely Chelle , was attentive at all times giving us some interesting info about the property, suggestions for a local walk and helpful with directions for the homeward journey. There was an extensive range of beers/ciders in the bar. The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast. Upstairs, the bedroom floor sloped, exactly what you would expect from a property of this age. It all added to the character, but the room itself was very comfortable. Breakfast was very filling and restaurant had very tasty freshly cooked food using local produce. I really like the welcome folder in the room - it gave an insight to the history of the area, local knowledge and suggestions for things to do. Room and bed very comfy.
