What a treat. We arrived and found we had been upgraded. Our rooms were just up the road and in a building all to ourselves with a charming courtyard and very quiet. We have an electric car and the manager kindly let us charge at no extra cost too. Additionally, the hotel is so central in this beautiful village full of great restaurants and shops (although the restaurant at the hotel was awesome so you don't need to go anywhere else).

Great staff and breakfast included. We also liked how Stow-on-the-Wold had many shops to meet all your needs yet still retained that small village feel. Safety chain missing from room door, no light in lobby of room, light missing in bathroom over washhand basin, no working bulbs in outside lights, bed side light shades had cobwebs on.
