Rachel has a real customer focused approach, as did all the staff. A very engaged owner, which is good to see. The food was really very good and we enjoyed two dinners in the brassiere. Quiet lounge area with views of the bridge and the sun setting. A great place to stay en route from south to north.

All the staff were very friendly, some were also very helpful (saying you'll sort something, then not doing it, is useless). Had sandwiches in the bar one evening - delicious and the young woman behind the bar was friendly and very helpful. There are some veggie options on the menu and a separate vegan menu for dinner. TVs in rooms had screen mirroring.

I was travelling for the CII Annual dinner and the whole experience was wonderful.

We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which were both excellent. We really liked the hotel, which is conveniently located next to the A1, and will definitely return this year. The village is pretty as well.
