The Castle is a traditional inn built in the 16th-century and situated on the A619 road, along the River Wye. It has a bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Historic olde pub and hotel. Comfy beds, lovely staff and owner.

Square & Compass is located in Two Dales, 10 km from Chatsworth House, and features a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The property is situated 29 km from Buxton Opera House, 39 km from FlyDSA Arena and 41 km from Alton Towers. National Ice Centre is 49 km from the inn.

We were lucky enough to be among the first guests after the take-over by new owners and the refurb of the rooms. What a beautiful room we had - no expense was spared. The decor details are thoughtful and stylish and consider the old character of the inn. The furniture is proper oak and good quality, the bed comfy, the bathroom finished to a high spec with all the creature comforts one likes to have when far from home. The breakfast was yummy and freshly prepared and the hosts were friendly and open to help where they could. And, the hot chocolate is divine. The pub was a lovely place to hang out in so all in all, a very pleasant stay and we'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

Devonshire Arms at Beeley is located on the Chatsworth Estate, which is owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. It is a 25-minute cross-country walk from Chatsworth House, and the property offers free WiFi in all areas and free on-site parking.

Each of the 18 individually designed bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. Rooms are situated either in the main inn or the converted adjoining cottages.

Our room was comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was large and had wonderful bath products and large, soft towels. We loved its proximity to Chatsworth House, close enough to walk to on a beautiful day. The staff reserved a table for us by the fire for our dinner.

Devonshire Arms has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Hartington. Located around 25 km from Chatsworth House, the inn with free WiFi is also 25 km away from Alton Towers. The property is non-smoking and is situated 20 km from Buxton Opera House.

The room was stunning. Our view was onto another building but it wasn't about that, the design, facilities and comfort of the room were stunning, we were blown away. The small touches like the dog bowls (even though we didn't have a dog with us, we are dog lovers and noticed them), the power show (wow!), the bed, just everything :)

The room was beautiful, bed was so comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and newly renovated. Beautifully decorated. They were very accommodating with our dogs. Staff was wonderful and the breakfast options were beautiful (we had chose the smoked salmon breakfast and the full english)…. But OMG - the evening meals were DELICIOUS. Excellently prepared by an incredible chef. Fresh ingredients and flavours were amazing! We both had starters, that were gorgeous, I had the fish of the day main and my partner had lamb. We finished with dessert that was perfection! Definitely coming back every year! And plan to sneak back for some meals too since fortunately, we do not live to far away!

The porch, with a bench, radiator and coat hooks is brilliant for when you get back from a walk, so you can get any wet /muddy gear off before you go into the house. Excellent location for the lovely walks alongside the amazingly clear river, and good selection of pubs with a good selection of good (especially recommended the food in the Farmyard Inn!)

It is a beautiful 17th century, stone built cottage in an absolutely beautiful village. There are a couple of shops, 3 pubs with in 1 min walk. The property is well maintained and tastefully decorated. Excellent kitchen, dinning room and lounge. All 3 lovely bedrooms are doubles, one is on the ground floor if you have anyone with accessability issues it's perfect. Location wise it's very close to Bakewell, Buxton and matlock. There is a bus that serves the village that goes to all 3. We will return.
