We stayed in the Spring room, which had its own private balcony overlooking the courtyard. It was very close (a couple hundred meters) from the Venetian Fortezza and the seafront, which was very convenient and beautiful. The hotel is located in the old town, where no cars drive in the narrow streets - which makes it perfect for wandering around and looking through all the souvenir and clothing shops, super markets and cafe's and restaurants. We will definitely be back, and will definitely book in at Sohora Hotel. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accomodate our requests and assist us with arranging transport. Our best stay in Crete!

The poached eggs at breakfast are amazing and the staff are really friendly. The location is great. The old town is very charming and there are lots of tavernas and places to eat nearby. You can explore as much or as little of Crete as you like from here and you will love it.

Historical buildings converted into a small but superb boutique hotel. Amazing, historical architecture. Our room was #9, actually like a penthouse apartment, including a very nice roof terrace with a view over the old town. Very friendly management, very professional and helpful.

Great sized room, clean with everything you need. Excellent welcome when we arrived. Swimming pool closed during the winter but the sea is 2min away if you are feeling brave!

The apartments were clean and comfortable, beautiful garden around and the hosts are really good people. Overall its a good balance between being away from a city noises, but also not too far from it in case you need it. 2 tavernas are 5 minute by foot, and a lot of them 15 minutes away. So you can left car at apartments and go out for dinner.MihailsGroup

It has just enough room for a couple and also a great balcony with a seaview where you can have some drinks or even dinner . But what we liked most is that it is right on the beach and 10 min walk to the port . And because it is on second line it far more quiet than those on the first line , far from the traffic , far from the noisy tavernas but the seaview is still wonderful! The host Andreas is very kind , answers immediately and try to make the stay most pleasant !PavelYoung couple

The staff is very kind and helpful, received good recommendations for breakfast and dinner places. The location is amazing! Didn't experience any problems with the noise (as mentioned in other reviews), but probably it's just too early in the season and not many tourists, not all tavernas are open. There is really hot water on a sunny day :D

Prepare to have QR reader in your phone for the check-in (filling your info) and for the full menu at the restaurant. The breakfast and dinner were really good with huge variety of food and choices. The beach itself is just a block away from the hotel, including all the tavernas, restaurants and cafeterias by the sidewalk.

Close to location you can find: a mini market, very good taverns for breakfast and dinner, beach-bars.
