Really helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is sensational. Loved the robot tray maids. We really liked the dinner and show, good variation on the dinner menu. Town is quaint and peaceful. Lovely view of the ocean from the room.

The view from the guesthouse is so beautiful! Perfect spot to stay after our bike ride. The lounge is comfortable, as is the futon with extra layer of mattress provided making it really easy on the hips. And the doona was very fluffy. Yoko made us a delightful breakfast, taking lots of care. Take the time to head up the hill behind the guest house to the glass museum where there is a superb view.

The ryokan has an excellent onsen area that I enjoyed in the evening and the morning. Staff were very helpful including pointing me to the most reasonable shuttle bus to reach a limited express train from the station. Also, the kaiseki dinner was very tasty.

Reasonably-priced large hotel situated at the eastern end of the Wakuraonsen seafront. A nice 15 mins walk to the sights in "town." Get help from tourist information to call for pick-up if shuttle is not waiting at JR wakuraonsen station. Dinner and breakfast were great! Nice onsens.
