The lounge is comfortable, as is the futon with extra layer of mattress provided making it really easy on the hips. And the doona was very fluffy. Yoko made us a delightful breakfast, taking lots of care. Take the time to head up the hill behind the guest house to the glass museum where there is a superb view.

Staff were very helpful including pointing me to the most reasonable shuttle bus to reach a limited express train from the station. Also, the kaiseki dinner was very tasty.

A nice 15 mins walk to the sights in "town." Get help from tourist information to call for pick-up if shuttle is not waiting at JR wakuraonsen station. Dinner and breakfast were great!
