+ On our way to the Erg Chgaga me and my friend had a stay in the Campdesertmaroctours in M'hamid el Ghizlane . Wow. Such a wonderfull experience It felt like a little heaven on earth for us, after the all the Covid problems, this short holiday in the royal Camp!!! Always served at our call, the staff was extremely friendly. We enjoyed the beautifull view from the window and couldn’t stop stargazing at night. I felt particulary pampered in our big luxurious bed with our electric heated blanket after a nice and warm bath. We loved our breakfast and evening meal. It is sure we will be back here! Thanks to the owner Ibrahim and his kind staff ,and our guide too and to all who made our stay unforgettable!

Just a 5-minute drive from the village of Mhamid and 97 km from Zagora City, Auberge Kasbah Dar Sahara Tours offers overnight desert trips and excursions.

Overlooking sand dunes, all units are decorated in a traditional Sahara style and have a shared bathroom with a shower.

I spent two days at Dar Sahara, and I wish I could have stayed for two weeks! As a solo female traveler, Mbarek made me feel safe and well taken care of in this remote location. He picked me up from the bus station, prepared a Berber omelette upon my late-night arrival, and organized an excursion that perfectly fit my schedule. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the grounds have comfortable lounge spaces, and the overall atmosphere is magical. Mbarek's calming presence adds to the joy of the experience. Exploring the lodging area reveals beautiful structures and breathtaking sunsets over dinner. If I return to this part of the world, I'll prioritize booking one of Dar Sahara's camping or trek excursions. The attention to detail in every aspect exceeded my expectations!

Great location at the foot of the dunes. Friendly, attentive service. Excellent tajine for dinner. It is accessible by small road if you have a car or scooter. If not, then like me, you may be offered a ride on the back of the owner’s brother’s motorcycle from Tagounite, which was an adventure in itself.

What an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff demonstrated utmost professionalism and hospitality. The New Year's Eve dinner and show surpassed all expectations, leaving us in awe. The tents offered exceptional comfort; while there was no heat, ample blankets ensured warmth throughout the chilly desert nights. Additionally, they generously provided djellabas for those unprepared for the colder temperatures, ensuring everyone's comfort and enjoyment.

Very suprisingly beautiful facility outside of the town in the desert. The garden was full of palm trees and with possibility to sit under tent. Rooms for quests are situated in separate building with own entrance to garden. Rooms was really clean, the cleanest we have seen in Morocco. The host has prepared excellent dinner for us and was very pleasant. I definitely recommend it.

We had a very special time staying at Mohamed's place, right at the end of town, bordering the desert. He welcomed us with a lovely vegetarian dinner. The next day we went on a 2 day desert trip that he organised for us. It was a memorable experience, walking, riding camels, driving a 4x4, right into what felt the deep desert. A very authentic experience, lovely company, incredible scenery. Highly recommended!

Very nice camp in the middle of the dunes. It looks spectacular, especially the sunrise and sunset. The staff are really welcoming, and although they don't all speak English, it was easy to communicate. We were even welcomed with a morrocon tea. The dinner was really good and we were allowed to try the African drums next to the camp fire, which made the experience unique. Big thanks to the best driver, Rachid! The best comedian Ali and the best drummer, Hussein! And of course Ahmed!

The camp, run by Mohammed and Ali, is located at the big dunes of Erg chegaga. The communication before our trip was excellent. The dinner (the tajine) was always perfect and the breakfast appropriate respecting the location far from civilisation. As everything has to be brought there, our expectations where more than met. If we come back to chegaga, we will go back to these guys! Thanks for the nice stay, the nice evening at the fire and the support to get to and away from your camp :-) all the best for the future!

The camp had a wonderful location between amazing desert dunes. Not only was this the only camp in this area (the next camp was behind several dunes) but also did we enjoy a breathtaking view of the landscapes and were able to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The host was amazing as well as the delicious traditional breakfast and dinner. We can absolutely recommend this camp.

We had an amazing time here. The family is very kind and took care of us. The place is very beautiful with attention to details. The room is simple and clean and has everything you need including hot water, excellent wifi, and peaceful nights. We had dinner and breakfast which were also excellent. We took the day trip out to the desert camp in the 4x4 and had a really memorable experience. The host even walked us to the bus at 6 in the morning to make sure that we had no troubles. We recommend this hotel and we would come back.
