Featuring free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool, São Pedro Guesthouse offers accommodation in São Tomé, 300 m from the main sea front and 5 minutes drive from the CBD. The property features a terrace, bar and garden.

First and foremost, this is a place that provides a high level of service (and management) for reasonable cost. Sao Tome can at times be a little bit daunting for travel (in some ways part of the fun). Few places accept credit cards, no viable international ATM I could find, so you have to research/budget and bring Euros or USD and do money exchanges with random people on the street. Reminded me of travel to Eastern Europe in the 1980s. This guest house, however, removes all of those stresses. They not only take credit card for the room and change money with you at a decent rate, they will also give you dobras against a credit card charge if you run out of the cash you brought. Easy and a big relief if you're stressed about managing your money. They offer airport transfers (the owner himself drove me in his own car because the country had otherwise run out of gasoline and he had a diesel SUV); they have an reasonable and upfront policy about extra charges for late check out, which takes into account the schedules of the TAP flights to Accra and Lisbon; they have a reasonable bar out back by the pool. I'm sure some of the higher end hotels in town offer many of these services, but at least double if not triple the price. I was very happy to find an affordable hotel that also provided these extra services and would stay here again based on that. They had to ration diesel for the generator at certain times of the day due to the fuel crisis in the country but again this was all stated up front with signs in multiple languages, and was a very rational solution to a problem outside of management's control. Apart from that, the room was nice and quiet and to be able to swim in the big pool at dusk and watch the bats circle around overhead was a memorable experience.

Simple accommodation, very spacious, with huge terrace overlooking the ocean. The staff was very kind and friendly, and available for any support needed. Location is perfect to see the sunrise over the ocean. Payment possible with MBway (portuguese system) or bank transfer which is very convenient. They have a restaurant but you need to pre-book for lunch or dinner.

Célia is an excellent host, 👌 with attention to detail and never too invasive, making everyone feel at paradise. The nice balance between the surrounding local community it is her persistent and refined work. And it elevates our experience with the locals. Breakfast is nice and delicious, and we had dinner cooked by a local woman. It amazed us how delicious and surprising it was. The location near the sea is memorable and top-notch! The management of all facilities, cleaning, etc, is well organized. Highly recommended 👌

The location is perfect, so close to the see, capital and some main sights, also easy to drive to other parts of the island. Calm location, although directly next to a local community, which we much appreciated. The facilities are simple, very ecological, but all we wished for was available. Good breakfast and dinner. Celia, the owner, is super helpful and arranges whatever needed.

Breakfast with local fresh fruits was delicious. The hotel in so peaceful, loved the donkeys and dogs. situated out of the town in a nice quiet area. Riccardo and Juanne were fantastic hosts and looked after us so well. Juanne arranged for a guide to take us around the island. They collected us from the airport. THey did laundry for s and also cooked delicious dinners.

Our hosts Célia and her cats and dogs made sure to make our stay very pleasant. The very large garden and the bungalows are decorated with care, and make it comfortable to spend some peaceful and quiet time in there. Célia cooked us a very tasty local dish dinner. People in the community around are very friendly.

The garden and landscaping is well taken care off. The location is good - not to far of the main road and is a good basis for discovering the various beaches along the east coast, or if you want to do scuba diving with the Santana resort, but are not staying there. The breakfast is superior. Best breakfast we had on Sao Tome. The dinner menu is very Portuguese, which we liked, but it could use some vegetarian options. The wine menu is great. They offer quite some options.

Everything was more than perfect! The lovely bungalow we stayed in, the breakfasts and the dinners, the place itself… but over all the priceless time spent with the owners, Ricardo & Joana, who made us feel home from minute one. Lots of laughs and good conversations in the evening around the table with them and the other guests made our stay absolutely perfect! Thank you for all the good memories and warm wishes from Rosa & Guillem.

We were the first ever to rent this place. Its cheap and quite well equipped. We used just beds, wifi, aircon and bathroom which were fine... i cannot judge the rest. Owner of the place was very cool and friendly guy who invited us for a dinner and beer which was awesone. He also helped us arranging transport to our next destination.

We were so lucky to stay a few days at this lovely place. The accommodation, the view from the room, the green area outside, the delicious meals (breakfast and dinner) were all fantastic. Great 'Thank you!' to Celia, our host, who was very welcoming from the first moment we met. Private transport to / from the airport or Sao Tome town was organised by te host but we also used the local public transport (short walk to the main road).
