The place was very decent and the staff were lovely and helpful. It was a comfortable stay. Furnishings were appropriate and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was decent as well. It's a typical American breakfast: tasty, sufficient, with some variety (sugary pastries, biscuits, bagels, omelettes, bacon, waffle maker and mix, coffee/tea/juices/yogurts/packaged oatmeal also available).

Hotel lobby wasn’t the cleanest. Hallway carpets looked soiled & unkempt. My room was below average. The room’s smoke alarm sounded for no reason leaving a permanent flashing light. This caused me to lose sleep & feel tired the entire following day. This is certainly not the Hilton Standard. I’m very disappointed.

The location is within walking distance to most of IU, the rooms were spacious, the breakfast was good, and there were delicious cookies available in the lobby. The smell irrigated my throat and nose. Lots of college students stay at hotel, I believe the deodorizer was used to hide smoking and am very sensitive to smoke. The lobby had some materials stacked on the wall. The most unusual Hampton Inn I ever stayed in. I would never stay there again. I left sick. The staff was very kind in trying to find a room without that strong smell.

Also, we were greeted each afternoon with fresh baked cookies or muffins. Lovely mugs of tea in the evening. Great service, Innkeeper David was a highlight! Great location- walk to campus or walk to all of the great restaurants.
