The front office staff were friendly and very helpful, showing us places of interest and where the good dining establishments were. They kept the grounds bright and cheery - it was obvious they took a lot of pride in the flowers and other plantings around the motel.

But the room was clean, quiet and I enjoyed my 1 night at the Gunnison Inn.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. To be able to sit outside next to a fire pit in the evening was the best ever. Relaxing and better then a chain hotel stay.

To me, the train ride up and back in one day is tiring for many people. The Inn had a lovely seating area in front with large shade trees, fire pit, corn hole, and comfortable rocking chairs. Their location was right off the highway with easy access into town. It was also quiet.

We stayed here to drive in the morning to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. The breakfast was exceptional with eggs, sausage, great coffee, muffins, and lots of other options. The decor is western. It was quiet despite having many guests. Also pet friendly for a $20 fee.
