Liked that complimentary coffee, tea, and wine are usually available, along with the yummy cookies they put out in the afternoon. The location is perfect for seeing SLO downtown on foot. Parking was no problem at all; we were always able to park just two or three blocks away on Garden Street. Dining recos: Luna Red, Locanda, Buffalo, SLO Provisions - all excellent!

Sunbeam was the best-rated, value hotel that I could find. We liked that we were given a ground-floor room and we could park our car directly in front of it which made baggage handling way easier. The home I rented for school was undergoing major renovation and it was inhabitable. I needed a place to stay for a few days while I found another place to live. AFI was so relaxing and safe. I enjoyed my evening cookies and tea. Rooms are lovely and clean. I would recommend AFI. Thank you for helping me out with a wonderful room while I figured out everything.

The decor and ambiance of the Madonna Inn is outstanding. I think they should consider opening a small sandwich/snack shop in the old service station to service the folks at the nearby Supercharger. A small lounge area with coffee/sodas and snacks up to sandwiches would be a sure way to delight those charging. The staff at the Madonna Inn were all outstanding.
