We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Located just 5 miles from Oban, right on the lake shores and on Loch Etive, Lochnell Arms Hotel features a restaurant overlooking the famous Falls of Lora. Guests can relax in the lounge by the open roaring fire and there is also a terrace for al fresco dining. The room was big and with a big Window on the Lake, amazing view. The Staff was really Kind and supportive. The breakfast (included) was rich and delicious.

Our room was very large and the view was beautiful. Waking up in the morning and seeing the Loch was a bonus. The bathtub was huge!!!! The food was amazing. My daughter said it was the best meal of our trip. She had the bathtub drink and it came in an adorable bathtub. The stairs are very steep. I suggest you take an overnight bag to your room and leave the rest of your luggage in the car.

Each room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the view off the deck extending from the self-contained apartments was amazing.

"The Anchor Inn was a traditional Drovers Inn dating back to 1888. Over recent years, it has undergone tasteful modernisation and now boasts a nautical-themed bar and restaurant area with hearty food and good ale. We have various rooms, all en-suite, and many have views of the Gareloch Sea. We booked the Anchor for the first night of a motorcycle trip. This was a huge mistake. We should have booked at least three nights! The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is ideal, food is excellent quality and value. Already planning our return next spring.

Free Wi-Fi is featured in each room at Kames, as well as an en suite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms also come with a sea view. Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.

A traditional, family-run inn built in the 19th-century, located a short walk from the shores of Loch Melfort, The Cuilfail has a bar, a restaurant, free parking and free Wi-Fi.

The bar has an open fire, and traditional Scottish food is served. Enjoyed the breakfast and evening meal was superb. Small cosy bar with good selection of beer and whisky. Nice quiet location but not far from Oban. scenery was exceptional in this area. Would highly recommend this hotel.
