The rustic and cosy pub area is full of historic features, with an open fireplace and unique furniture with carved, wooden mice. Full English breakfasts are served each day, along with fresh, traditional dishes. Guests can enjoy real ales and fine wines in the 2 bars. Private accommodation across from the pub, delicious food served in the pub for our evening meal and at breakfast. Friendly attentive staff and great area for relaxing walks and fresh air.

Rob was very welcoming when we arrived, letting us know that the pub was closed that evening but he offered us free drinks to say sorry. Couldn’t have been a better host. The second night we were lucky enough to have an amazing dinner on site.

The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would need, tea, coffee etc. Excellent breakfast and the host was friendly and very welcoming. Would stay again and highly recommend it.
