Dating back to the 1600s, The Three Tuns is set overlooking Chepstow Castle. Retaining its charming original features, the inn offers traditional accommodation, live music on weekends, homemade food and a pretty beer garden. the courtyard was so inviting and it was definitely a meeting place in the community.

The Newbridge is housed in a 200-year-old country inn. Furnished in oak and teak, each guest room has a TV, desk and tea/coffee making facilities. All have an en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and shower. Had to be in Newport for a stressful reason and the stay here made it so much easier. Beautiful and peaceful location. Staff were so friendly.

In the centre of the picturesque town of Usk in Monmouthshire, The Crosskeys Inn offers a traditional pub and a pleasant patio with tables and chairs. All rooms feature flat-screen Freeview TVs and free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good. It's a very old building and quirky. It's position on the main street meant it was convenient for walking the Usk valley path which is why I chose it. Great for an overnight stop and value for money.
