Nutheim Gjestgiveri is a family-run wooden hotel built in 1877. The hotel’s view over the Flatdal Valley is famous and has attracted painters and artists for generations. The four course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented! Ellen, the owner, told us the interesting history about the area before dinner. The next day she gave us a tour of the parsonage and chapel, which had been her childhood home. She made our stay so personal and special. It was a rainy fall day outside but inside it was cozy and we were able to sit by the fire for a relaxing morning.

Set a 20-minute walk from Larvik Train Station, Trudvang Gjestegaard offers free parking and rooms with free Wi-Fi access and a TV. Amfi Larvik Shopping Centre is 20 minutes’ walk away. Just the most helpful and pleasant person got us registered and into the facility. Water pressure in shower was wonderful!
