Mardin
Set in a 800-year-old stone mansion with Arabic architecture, the historic Dara Konagı in Mardin offers stone rooms with plasma TVs and minibars. For relaxation, there is a hot tub and a garden. Free WiFi is available in the entire hotel. The room and the accommodation were very nice and with a certain local theme, generating a very rewarding immersion in the tourist climate of the city. The breakfast it was also very good. It is important to point out that the old part of the city is practically a labyrinth, so it was also very difficult to find the location of the accommodation. For those coming by car, an essential tip is to be restricted to driving only on the two main streets that pass through the old part of Mardin, the "Yeni Yol Cd." and the "1. Cadde", because Google Maps will insist on making you enter very tiny cross streets that will be impossible to advance.
Midyat
Kasr-i Nehroz is located in 2 historical stone houses, few hundred meters from the Silversmith Bazaar. The hotel features free Wi-Fi in public areas and a 24-hour reception.
The guest rooms of the Kasr-i Nehroz Hotel are tastefully decorated combining traditional elements with modern amenities. They offer air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs and a minibar. The rooms include a seating area and private bathrooms with a bathtub.
The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is at a stone's throw from the bus station and, at the same time, inside the old city. In fact, I would recommend to reach it from that side (bus station) rather than from the main square. The stuff is very gentle and keen to help while the room was spacious, warm and well furnished. The whole hotel is really beautiful and I would recommend to ask for a room facing the courtyard.
Oh and they also have a restaurant, slightly more expensive than those downtown, but really worth it and serving alcohol

Nice staff, nice dinner, nice breakfast.
The location of the hotel is fabulous. The dinner and lunch spread was good. Staff was very helpful
clean and comfortable place.friendly and welcoming staff.they offer breakfast and dinner (for a fee).dinner is really good.this is family-run business.pansion also offer service to namrut, gobekli tepe, from/to station or city nearby. lovely family.i'm solo traveller, and i hang out (play games) with the family all night. i forgot that i was just tourist. it felt like i was there visiting friends.thank you for the warmth time. all the best and hope to see you all again :)
Room was basic but comfortable, as you would expect most of the way up the mountain. The location was fantastic - we were so close to the Nemrut summit that we went up at sunset and then again the following morning. Murat, who owns the place, was a good host and breakfast and dinner were both also provided for a small cost (including vegetarian).
An excellent, traditional, clean hotel with very helpful, hospitable and polite staff. Breakfast was excellent with fresh products and plentiful. The room was big and the towels were changed every day. The second day we were also offered a bigger room without having asked for, which was a nice surprise. The hotel also offers free parking near by. The hotel is in the old town and all of the buildings gives you the impression that you live in the past. Most of them, as Kaliruha, have inner yards where you can read or just relax.
We were contacted a few times by teh hotel before we arrived, giving advice about how to find the place (easy) and about the weather conditions up on the mountain. Ahmet, the owner's son was a great host and he got his friend Ahmet to guide us up to the mountain in the snow, which we would not have managed without him. They made a tasty dinner of chicken and salad in the evening and rovided us with a hearty breakfast in the morning.
Hussain the manager was incredible, personable and made us a lovely dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately due to the terrible, weather and earthquake recovery. The electricity went out. The rooms were very cold. The bathrooms were smelly. The lo ation was fabulous. I wonder if it would be better in better weather
Very lovely, cozy rooms, each with different decor. Very pretty inner courtyard to sit and drink tea. Very friendly staff. Good air conditioning in rooms. Quiet location but still right in the middle of the old town within close walking distance of the sights, restaurants and shops. Very tasty breakfast with excellent flatbread
Just 15-20mins drive from Mount Nemrut site. Best base if you plan to do a sunrise visit. Comfortable room and nice host. You can also add dinner and breakfast upon arrival.
This a pension in a local village. Dont expect a flashy Hotel ! With that in mind it was fantastic. Rustic charm, with a fantastic helpful and friendly owner and family, and a big room with all the facilities you need. On site car park and a 30 minute drive to the top of Mt Nehmrut. We had dinner and breakfast - BBQ chicken and the usual salads, rice and potatoes ... and it was fantastic value as well as very good. Highly recommended and absolutley worth the money !
