The house was great, a little cave apartment with a great view of the surrounding canyon and mountains. Everything was great, the house is nice and modern. You can enjoy the amazing view from all around the house.

This was a remote location, not for everyone , although not to hard to get to (we hiked bikes up to it as that is our primary mode of travel), with a spectacular view, a nice little hot tub, and a great host! After 6 weeks on Gran Canaria, and many other stays, this was one of our favorites.

Great house for a family stay. The garden has a great view, gets sun all day and is very cosy with several chill zones in the shades, lighting (solar) in the evening. You need a car to get there but access is very well explained, and the host is easy to reach and pleasant. A big plus for the well equipped kitchen (orange press, induction cooking stove and good pans and pots)!

Lucas is an amazing host. He welcomed us with a home cooked meal, then left us in privacy to enjoy this beautiful villa. Whenever we needed advice or help, he would answer in WhatsApp in a few seconds. So helpful and kind! I really love the town of San Mateo and the wonderful pastry shop. We stayed there during a cold, rainy spell but when we wanted the sun we could just drive down to Maspalomas and enjoy the sun by the sea. So we had the best of both worlds: cosy, hilly and friendly or bustling, hot and touristy, whenever we wanted we could switch by hopping in the car. My boys fell in love with a wayward, cheeky cockerel that wandered into the garden every so often. We really loved being able to make orange juice from the oranges that Lucas picked from his orange trees in the garden.

The location is perfect for hiking and exploring the beautiful nature, with several scenic trails (SL1, SL3 and SL4) starting nearby. The house has a rooftop terrace where we could relax, enjoy the views, and grill the food. The El Rincon village is very peaceful with the scenic views of the nearby mountains.

Swimming pool and jacuzzi were extensively used and kids played in the garden a lot. There is grill and some rackets to play on the village tennis field. Such a lovely vibe about it, really quiet and cozy but loads of outdoor space too to enjoy the sun. The house has been done to a really high standard and is super relaxing-we slept really well and loved the local neighbourhood, feels like you see the real Gran Canaria. Close to mountains and great hikes but also beaches and the airport. Samuel was a great host too and let us use the small terrace pool which was an unexpected bonus! Only wish we spoke better Spanish so we could have chatted more!
