Full of children and fun, this is the centre of Copenhagen and you should not miss it. They manage to keep the children happy with the rollercosters and the more mature with the gardens. They have managed to have a bit of everything for everyone.
The Saturday night light show was ok, maybe not for me however the live concert and singing was fantastic and kept the crowd on their feet. The night ended with fireworks and impressive.
Was not my intention to visit however glad I did.

There are a number of entrances to Tivoli so don't worry if 1 seems packed. We were there for Christmas and so the decorations were excellent. Sometimes it is difficult to get places to eat, so if you are looking to eat lunchtimes or evenings, it may be better to book.
Biggest Tip, play Gallopen it is the best and great fun. Sanitise your hands afterwards though , you will see why.

You will always find a CROWD in front of these gardens....
You will always find a CROWD in front of these gardens....and this is because they are the oldest amusement gardens in the world!!! Not because of the rides, or the grounds as nowadays you do find bigger and more challenging amusement parks. But this one IS in the middle of the city, which is ad advantage, you don t have to go too far or take trains, or buses....
If you have kids, you better take the Family ticket pack, because otherwise you will feel guilty you didnt take them to this! I came here as an adult, so I guess I left the rides out, and some of them are quite challenging even for the brave! Independently of this, there are nice restaurants of all types of cuisine on the Tivoli gardens grounds.
From fastfood to Michelin star quality, you just have to be in Tivoli Gardens! I advice to go in the afternoon as you can catch the theatres presentations and the Light and music show which we saw (and probably changes with seasons) whch was spectacular!
It gives a magic touch to the otherwise seemingly "kitchy decor" but amusement parks do play with what reality is. And it would not be an amusement park if it was perfectly decorated with subdued colors, would it?
Tivoli Gardens is an institution, and I liked to visit it and know more about it.

The location of the hotel was brilliant, being very close to the station and Tivoli Gardens. Our room was very comfortable with a very modern and well-fitted bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and quality food.
The location and price of the hotel was good. I went for Tivoli Gardens and it was about a 10 minute walk away. There is also a nice shopping centre about a 10 minute walk away. The beds were very comfortable, the shower very good and the WiFi was fast. The hotel was clean and the check in was straight forward.
Lovely old hotel with lots of character ideally located next to the train station and the Tivoli Gardens. We had a large room with a seating area and comfortable beds. We loved the library bar and were lucky enough to be there when a jazz band was playing, which was excellent. There was a good range of options for breakfast and there were plenty of bars and restaurants in the near vicinity.
Cabinn Copenhagen is in a good location, about 5-10 mins walk to the Tivoli gardens and town centre. It's a big, basic hotel, ok for a cheap base to stay.
The rooms are beautiful and nicely appointed. It is a very very big hotel and has lots of features. The cafe bar that has takeaway breakfast is perfect for a quick coffee and brekky. Beds were the most comfortable I have experienced in Europe so far. Staff went out of their way to help. Very close to train station and Tivoli Gardens.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Have stayed in the hotel previously and enjoyed my stay which is why I returned. Hotel is well situated very handy for Tivoli Gardens / food hall, and Central Station Copenhagen. Took approximately 15 minutes to travel by train from Airport to Hotel. Will definately be back. Thank you.
The hotel is well located (about 25 mins walk from Nyhavn, Tivoli Gardens and train station both 8 minutes).
The breakfast, although plain and simple, was very nice with good choices of bread, cheese, cold cuts and also yogurt and cereals. Price wise I thought it was ok.
The self- check in worked perfectly.
The hotel’s cleanliness was very good
Amazing hotel that focuses on sustainability. Anette was fantastic, she was always happy to help and offered exceptional service. Her matcha lattes are definitely a recommendation to try. Location was great, you could walk to Tivoli gardens within 5-10 minutes.
Lovely quiet apartment near to Tivoli Gardens and few minutes from the main station. Very easy to get to the airport.
Apartment well equipped, clean and modern. Comfortable bed. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Loved our stay in Copenhagen.
Fabulous boutique style hotel in a great location. 5 minutes walk from the train station and Tivoli gardens. 20 minutes walk to most of the main attractions. Staff very friendly, but best of all was the amazing breakfast.
Couldn't fault this hotel at all. Would stay here again.

Tivoli Gardens is a place to spend even a whole day
Tivoli Gardens is a place to spend even a whole day. If you want to avoid the crowds, go in in the afternoon, at least 2-3 hours before the start of the concert. The public transport is very reliable (if you get directions from google maps, even the schedule is perfectly held), however it is best to walk around the city (the major attractions are relatively near to each other, you see everything by foot for 3 days by walking around 7-8 km daily).
