Amethyst mine is one of its kind! :)
Amethyst mine is one of its kind! :) It’s a must visit destination I think! Be prepared to walk more than 5 km from the Lodge resort. If you cannot, arrange a taxi before! For that you may take help from the resort staff. The taxi will drop you only till the plains, after that you have to hike up 1.5-2 Kms approx. In winters, it is extremely slippery, be sure to dress up in proper boots!

- 8.6Scored 8.6FabulousRated fabulous· 373 reviewsWe had a great stay, the hotel is across Lapland Safari’s where you can book your husky safari or a visit to the amethyst mine and is also surounded by nice restaurants. It’s also really worth it to have diner at the hotel restaurant. After a long day it was relaxing to take a sauna and build up a fire at the fireplace in the room. The staff is really friendly and helpful too.

Peaceful area by the lake, very close to a public beach, pristine Lapland nature, reindeer everywhere, virtually inside the national park with the amethyst mine just 3 km away. Very friendly host, ready to help. Pet friendly (although you need to pay extra). The cottage is well equipped with all you need for the stay.
