Passy Eiffel is just 600 metres from Trocadéro, which offers the best views of the Eiffel Tower. It offers 3-star accommodation in one of Paris’ quiet streets. Yes, the property is clean and well maintained, but the staff really stand out as exceptional.
What happened to the spirit of Paris? Now it is encased in glass, you can't walk underneath the tower, and queues . . . one to get in, then one to go up the tower. The bad thing is the touts and souvenir sellers, who wait outside the exit to pounce, and you can't even walk around the area, as the souvenir sellers are laid out all around, it is awful. What happened to the French pride and spirit?
As it goes with tourism there are alot of scammers. People will rush up to you with clipboards asking for donations after they have worked out your english. These are scams and just ignore and walk away.
We did an unusual walking tour that took us underneath the Eiffel Tower- totally worth it! I recommend doing walking tours whenever you can, so you can understand what you are looking at and have an overview of the history- it was fascinating. We stayed while it got dark and sat in a little pop up cafe - nothing flash, and saw the lights go on the Eiffel Tower- it was magical! There are many things you can see and do in Paris- and you don’t always need to pay- this was one of those moments which anyone could of enjoyed- and it didn’t have a price tag.
So magical especially at night after dark when it is lit and every hour after dark til 1am it does a flickering light show for 5 min. Make sure you have an evening cruise on the Sienne which starts at the Eiffel tower. It is so stunningly beautiful
Pre book your tours as impossible to get tickets to go up. Pick pockets were everywhere. We watched in disbelief a man Rob a woman in plain sight. Two other men tackled him and got her stuff back in broad daylight. Sad to see no police or security in this area to protect tourists.
It is a unique attraction to visit and the view from top is amazing. It is recommended to have the fast track option by buying the tickets with one of the city tours agents. Also, cafes and restaurants in the half height levels are also nice to have a bite or a drink at.
This was a lovely clean and quirky hotel in a nice part of Paris. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets a few feet away from the hotel. No car park but there was one very close to the hotel (if like us you drive there). The beds were very comfortable and the reception very helpful. Only a short distance to the Eiffel Tower, approx 15 - 20 minute stroll or a metro stop very close by. We will definitely stay here again when we are able to spend more time in Paris.
Good •I liked how you could experience living like a Parisian with studio facilities in the room with the comforts of hotel service •Great location minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and this is likely the €€€€ factor cost with the hotel •Clean •We liked the balcony, allowed for good views of Paris •Friendly staff, which matters
Nice location, close to metro station (2 mins walk).. 20 mins walk to Eiffel tower and 2 mins to restaurants/cafe near by. Staff are really helpful and concierge at hotel - was really helpful in providing consultations and booking tickets for us at reasonable price. Well maintained hotel in the city of Paris, safe place to stay.
Small room, but I suppose it's a normal for Paris. Good area close to Noterdam. Beautiful view to the street, but you can't see Eiffel Tower. Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. You can also ask for transfer to airport (bus/taxi). Room was cleaned by hotel staff. People in reseption kindly answered for all my question.
As a family it was a great location, close to a shopping strip, playgrounds and great coffee shops, as well as a short distance to the Eiffel Tower. As we had been to Paris before, we enjoyed exploring the area around the hotel. Our children loved the pool, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly.
Location and view are magnificent, next door to Eiffel Tower, Restaurants and Metro Station The staffs are warm, nice and service oriented, the room is very clean, bed is so comfortable and Nespresso coffee machine makes this room so outstanding Surely, I will be back to this hotel for next visit to Paris
The hotel has an excellent location, in one minute you are at the Eiffel Tower. And from the living room you have a very good view of the landmark of Paris, the pictures of the accommodation do not promise too much here. The apartment is very spacious, there are three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The location of the hotel is very good. It takes 2min to the nearest metro station and 10min to the Eiffel Tower. A perfect starting point for a trip to Paris. The room was spacious for the price category. The bed was very comfortable, the room very quiet (hotel is located in a side street).
A short work trip so locaton was "all" Boutique style hotel with personable and efficient, friendly staff Room sizes good for Paris and ideally situated for Saint Honore, Concorde, Eiffel Tower and all the main sights - I simply wish I'd had time for them!
Had a lovely stay at Odeon hotel. Beautiful hotel close to all the highlights of Paris. Really friendly personnel and comfortable room. We got a free upgrade to the superior room with a nice view on the Eiffel Tower. We highly recommend!
if one goes to the Louvre you acquire headsets. It is pretty amazing viewing a painting of Napoleon crowning Josephine and the historical significance of this amazing piece of art is explained in the most beautiful artistic voice. Captivating... , not just this one painting the whole museum of priceless treasures. I felt honoured to view this amazing collection. The artifacts are breathtaking. It is amazing riding a double decker bus and wearing a headset. Two trips around the city and you are most familiar with the sights and their historical significance to start your journey. Plaques in doorways and on statue's leave the visitor a good over view of the past. A trip to Versailles again headsets that advise the visitors the past. The streets, the cobblestones the architecture, the open markets and cafe's, the preservation of the past intact is so very amazing to a first time visitor. Paris is exciting! Paris is busy. Paris is steeped in culture and is bigger than life itself. I stood beneath the Eiffel Tower and looked up trying to imagine the past and the men that built this magnificent structure. The residents of Paris make their city come to life. They are proud of their city. Very clean and orderly.
Skip the Louvre & the Champs-Elysees, stroll the Tuilleries and the Latin Quarter instead, & talk to people, but remember you're in THEIR country so learn some basic French (please, thank you, G'day, G'eve, etc.) - you'll find a lot of people who speak English. Use the Metro and the "river taxi" (that's what I call it, anyway). DO enjoy cafe au lait often at outdoor cafes, look at around and up at the old buildings, take your time and soak it all in. Don't waste money on 4 & 5, or even 3 - star hotels & "fancy" restaurants - see where the most French are eating and try those places. But, I'm biased and fluent in the language. One can "do" Paris in 3 days - Musee d'Orsay, Musee Marmottan (Monets!!!), Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame, and if you must, the Arc de Triomphe, but it's not worth the hassle). Skip Versailles, go to Fountainbleau (you can get a R/T ticket at the Metro station (subway, train, bus). Hotel in the Latin Quarter.
Find all the hidden playgrounds, visit the jardin du luxembourg and budget for carousel rides. A good view of the city can be found at the top of the wheel/roue within the jardin des tuileries rather than queuing for the tour Eiffel or scycraper.
Go early!! For the Eiffel Tower we took the stairs which was fun for our children and the line up was minimal.
Louve. Go to Eiffel Tower early, they shut down access to the top when we were there because of over crowding at the top.
Paris at night is amazing, make sure you go to the Eiffel Tower at night and wait for it to sparkle for you!
