Poolewe itself is a lovely village, with river rushing through it, beautiful walks, and the spectacular Inverewe Gardens only 1km away. If you need to eat in the evening, make sure you book a table at the Poolewe Hotel ( 5 min walk away, if that), there's nowhere else open unless you drive to Gairloch (10-15 mins).

We have the attic room which is clean, bright, comfortable, quiet with pleasing decoration. Good breakfast. Plenty of on-site parking. Close to Inverewe Garden, one of the best gardens we have visited in our round Scotland road trip in July. We were recommended to have dinner at Myrtle Bank Hotel which is less than 15 minute drive away. The seafood is excellent and the dishes are reasonably priced.
