Very nice place to stay, great value. Near the center and from the Fitzgerald Park also (15 minutes by walk for each). Because the house is between two rivers, when the boats come and go the house can vibrate a little (a bit surprising at first, but it is part of the charm here as long as you don't believe it is an earthquake which they don't have in Ireland by the way) !

Very good location to explore the city. Our room was on the top floor and had a lovely view of the Shandon Tower. It was warm and comfy, and there was plenty of hot water. We went to a bar and a cafe nearby, and were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit. Picked up a walking map leaflet on reception, and took in the riverside, Fitzgerald Park, a Craft Fair at the University, brunch at The English Market and The Crawford Gallery- all good places to see.

About 20 minutes walk from the main city, and you can choose a nice walk through either the university grounds or Fitzgerald park. The accommodation is obviously university housing and was as expected. The beds were surprisingly comfy and everything was clean enough. The rooms were spacious and there was plenty of storage. The kitchens were well equipped and we had everything we needed for a short break. Staff were lovely and helpful, we kept our luggage in the storage room until check in opened, and they kept it for us after checkout also.
