If you like walking then you can get a boat from Laxman...
If you like walking then you can get a boat from Laxman Juhla to the otherside of the river, then walk along the river on the other side and back over Ram Jhula. From Ram Jhula be sure to check out the market and then get a Rickshaw back to Tapovan. A good 3 or 4 hour excursion.

Staff is helpful and friendly, food is to die for.. the garhwali thali set us up for a memorable trip... Also, the location is just so convenient .. its in the middle of rishikesh... ram jhula is where the hotel is, you have laxman jhula and janki jhula on either sides making it perfect to cover all of rishikesh. The flutist during breakfast was a special treat. We will cherish the malas given to us as part of the welcome

Ganges river is just 5 mins walk.
