Fabulous hike through exceptional scenery.
Fabulous hike through exceptional scenery. We had some knee issues (after a much longer hike) so we chose to drive to the 'Base Camp' and take a jeep down towards the Gorge, then walk for about 2.5 km. to reach the start of the Gorge hike, then later take the jeep back up to Base Camp. The river water was too low for swimming or paddling in July but the rest of the experience was stellar.
