Book the double time in the evening if you can (Giotto under the Stars); this will give you 40 minutes in the chapel instead of the usual 20 minutes. Even 40 minutes was a bit too short! The Sistine Chapel is more well-known, but I enjoyed my time in the Scrovegni Chapel more.

It was wonderful!
It was wonderful! I had studied Art History in college and always wanted to see it. It did not disappoint! Painted in 1306 by the Master Giotto and his students. Giotto was the first to give paintings feeling. Yes, they are stiff, but have human emotions. See the angels at Christs death- they are torn up that Jesus is dead. One angel is marking her face with her fingernails! The parting of the lovers, I can feel how much they love each other and how much they will miss eachother.
The chapel is set in a QUIET park with modern artwork in the reception building and modern sculpture in the gardens.
In the back of the property is a cafe decorated with Italian Maidens- such a serene setting.

Heavenly. Plan on visiting again and again.
Heavenly. Plan on visiting again and again. It becomes endlessly a different experience each time.
The better prepared you are for viewing the series of frescoes, the more you will appreciate Giotto’s achievement.

Well worth the visit, but if you book an early morning visit be aware that the ticket office doesn't open until very shortly before your ticket time. Don't worry ( I did) it works, even if it is a confusing and stressful wait.

A good location. This was my first visit to Padua.
Made very welcome by Walter and Eva who helped me with booking a visit to the Scrovegni Chapel.
Comfortable room, very quiet. Bathroom rather small but adequate and clean.
I did not use the spa facilities so cannot comment
Solo female traveller. I felt very safe here.
Very comfortable and well appointed room. Having a fridge was a bonus. Good tea and coffee making provisions. Overlooked an historic square which was lively at night. Plenty of bars and eateries around. Near to an old market and a 10 minute walk to the Scrovegni Chapel and the two main museums. Quite handy to the tram and bus routes from the station, which accept on board credit-card tap and go. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bed very comfortable.
For us, travelling by train/bus, it was a good location equidistant from the central rail/bus station and the city centre. I had worked out beforehand that there was a Spar supermarket within a few hundred metres, which had a great selection of fresh foodstuffs and drinks. The apartment, on the seventh floor of a modern apartment block, was not overlooked and had a direct view of the Scrovegni chapel, the highlight of a trip to Padua.
The apartment is very clean, modern and nicely furnished, in an old but freshly renovated building with a beautiful staircase, very conveniently located close to the center of the old town and just a short walk from Scrovegni Chapel which is a must see! The host is very friendly and kind, theres also a nice restaurant downstairs. The accommodation is really good value for money!
The apartment is very spacious and well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. It is not central, but only about a 20-minute walk to the center and the Scrovegni chapel.
This is a business hotel without a lot of soul. The room was large--I think it was "superior" or a junior suite, all that was left when we booked late. There was a couch and a desk as well as a coffee table. The bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom floor seemed to be heated and the towel warmer actually worked. It's a fairly easy walk to the Scrovegni Chapel and museum, the main focus of our visit, and a block away is the first of Padua several breathtaking piazzas--they are really spectacular.
There was parking on the street outside the property & we were given a code to enter the apartment so check-in was very convenient. The facilities were good and we took advantage of the washing machine as this stay was approx. half way into our tour of Northern Italy. The Scrovegni Chapel is about a 20min walk & an extra 5-10mins to get to the train station where you can grab a 20min train to Venice. The botanical garden is practically next door and the picturesque Prato della Valle is about 5 mins walk from the property.
Great breakfast. Very nice rooms with all amenities and very appealing interior. The hotel is located perfectly in the city centre next to the Scrovegni Chapel. Our host took very good care of us and helped us to find our way around the city and to the sights we wanted to visit.
