Loved the communal area, which was in use even during the rain. The fire pit was a lovely touch. They have a public bath on site and didn't blink at a single tattoo, though more ink may pose a concern. Would happily go back the next time we're in Kyoto.

The big bath is really nice for the end of the day. we love free drink time, including alcohol from 5 pm to 8 pm. we back from sightseeing every night 6 ish, and had a lovely free local beer and Japanese sake before heading dinner. that was super nice service!
