Beng Mealea is quite the drive away from the city, which lets a tourist see the country side and have a conversation with the tour guide that isn’t about a specific temple aspect. The temple itself is in a ruined form, which I liked and enjoyed very much; that was the experience I desired to have and I feel I have accomplished it. Beng Mealea, the temple of the lotus pond, is the only temple where I found the space to meditate in peace away from the hordes of tourists. I highly recommend th the time to visit it.BBar-onIsrael

The bungalows are very comfortable and spacious. The pool is large. The staff are very attentive. The breakfast is complete and copious. The staff arranged for us to rent a car to go and see the Beng Mealea temple: perfect in every way. The fact that we could take a tuk-tuk into town was very nice.PeggyFrance
