The staff were amazing and really made this a great place to stay. The manager, Siddu was incredibly helpful, particularly in sorting our onward bus travel to Kandy, reserving our seats and getting the bus to stop opposite the hotel to pick us up. We are breakfast, lunch and dinner and the cook, Romesh, made great meals. Lahshu made a good cocktail too!

We loved it. Excellent breakfast. The family running the place is absolutely adorable. They showed us around with their car, took us to a local dance show and for a Ayurveda massage, and we visited gorgeous places we would not have found ourselves. The bathroom were very clean as compared to other properties we stayed in Sri Lanka. The host was kind enough to give us ride to dambulla cave temple as well as dropped us to bus station in his tuk tuk without any charge. Definitely more worth than the charges we paid! The Aircon worked well. Bawantha , the manager , was helpful. The location is around 2 kms from Dambulla Cave temple but in the interior countryside. The hotel is surrounded by thick vegetation. The food at the restaurant was ok. The private pool is good when clean. It's a good stay if u can put with bit of maintenence issues.

Owner is so helpful and super kind. He arranged safari trip and take us to the Pidurangala hike in the very early morning. He even took us to the Dambulla cave temple without any payment. If you want to visit Dambulla I can't imagine better place than Gamagedara Resort. Highly recommended.
