Unlike the thermal park near Rotorua this is quiet.
Unlike the thermal park near Rotorua this is quiet. You almost walk alone through the amazing valley. Very interesting without people standing in front of you. The thermal baths were very relaxing. different temperatures in a scenic setting. Absolute worthwile.C - 10Scored 10

This was really interesting and the walk was both beautiful and relaxing even with the light rain. Really nice coffee and food in the cafe at the visitor centre and staff were lovely. The geyser show was also well worth having a look at.

Spent day driving from Rotorua to Taupo.
Spent day driving from Rotorua to Taupo. We selected two site to visit, one morning, one afternoon. Found the Wai-o-Tapu centre best although Orakei Korako Geothermal Park & Cave very interesting.

Lots of walking for a 2.5yr old so lots of carrying in spots. Not suitable for a pushchair. Loved the thermometer to see how hot vents were. The cafe had loads of character and is great for kids as so much outside space and a play space.NicoleNew Zealand
