The hotel is near the shopping and eating street although there are not many shops like in more touristy places. The room overlooks the lake. There is a walkway by the lake just in front of the hotel, and we saw the sunset from there. There are restaurants nearby serving tribal dishes. The hotel staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was quite nice with healthy vegetables and the bamboo rice was delicious!

You have your own private balcony, and also a bathtub which is quite rare in Taïwan. The bed and the sheets were very comfortable. The owner was very nice and pick up me and my girlfriend to the bus station, with his car. He also helps u to bring us back to the bus station when we left. So I definitely recommend this hotel in Sun Moon Lake.

The area is quite touristy, a popular destination for the Taiwanese, but the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk away from the town center on the North shore of Sun Moon Lake. It was a long weekend and many places were booked. The room on the 7th floor had a half view of the lake, which was very nice.
