There is a belated Soviet Memorial, not mentioning Jews, and more recent memorials to the gypsies, Jews and other Ukrainians murdered in ridiculous numbers by the Nazis in 1941-44. Its a wonderfull relaxing and big and beautifull parc in summer. The story behind it though is verry sad. During german occupation the Nazis killed 20 % of the jewish population,orthodox priests and communists. You may meet some visitors from Israel at the Menora errected here to remember this holocaust.The Menora was build in 1991 after the end of communism.Communists were kind of antisemites.Although there was a plan to errect a monument in the late 50s ,it was canceled by communist leaders.
