Was travelling with a friend who insisted thatTravelodge was the gold standard for hotel/ motel Australian stay- as per the 1990s advertising on TV. Location was alright- we had a car and plenty of free street parking outside of business hours. Only stayed one night- bed and linen very comfortable- so much so that I forgot to get up to search for the Australis borealis. Spartan appearance outside of the rooms.

The rooms were quite spacious and clean with big comfortable beds. The rooms can be cleaned daily if you like. Easily accessible to the CBD and very central to places. The lodge is beautiful.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. Our favourite place to stay in Tasmania. The luxury, heritage and grandeur of Maylands Lodge was exceptional in every way. The lovely property manager made our stay truly memorable and he couldn’t do enough to ensure we were comfortable. We have already booked our room for when we return next year.

Maylands lodge is unique, it is quiet and has been very well kept. It's a warming lodge with very friendly staff (Jake, thank you for your hospitality!). The room we stayed in was incredible. Large and spacious, clean and warm, bed was super comfy and waking up to high ceilings and large windows with the warm sunlight shining through was a delight! We will most certainly be back here again, we loved LOVED this place!!!

Inner city location was excellent. I took the bus to and from airport and walked to all I wanted to, including the museum and Salamanca market. I was on my own and it felt very safe. I found Travelodge staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again.

The Lodge is in a fantastic location - close to markets, restaurants, the harbour and shops. Jeff is a great host - friendly and helpful but also gives you space. It’s a beautiful building with spacious bedrooms and lovely common areas. it’s quiet at night and the bed was comfy.

Fusilier is pure luxury. The house feels like a beautiful ski lodge - the vertical timber slat walls and the mud-coloured ceiling make the space feel warm and cosy. The living room doors allow you ultimate flexibility to curate the feel of your living space and offer privacy on busy weekend mornings when there are a lot of coffee visitors across the road at Jackman & McRoss. The location is absolutely perfect also. Would highly recommend staying here.

The owner of the hotel was extremely helpful, informative, friendly and had a great sense of humour. He made the place feel like it had that extra atmosphere, also the resident Ragdoll Cat made it more homely. Service was great and access to seeing Hobart was perfect. Better than staying in a hostel or travel lodge any day!

Had a fabulous stay at The Lodge on Elizabeth. Jeff the owner and host was very accommodating, the rooms were beautiful and unique with lovely common areas such as the lounge and outside areas to enjoy. They even had complimentary port which was fabulous. Beds were comfortable, small fridge and tea and coffee in the rooms. Thanks for a great stay, will be back when I'm in Hobart again.
