This stay was absolutely gorgeous! It was so clean, warm and cosy! We had everything we needed here and it was so peaceful! Definitely would recommend here 😁

I really liked the bath with the TV. The lodge was also nice and warm when we got there, we could change the temperature with the ipad.

Great communication with the host. Parking is right outside. The access road is adjacent to a caravan park but these are privately owned holiday lodges and very quiet. The only sound at night is the gentle stream running through the grounds below the cottage. If you don't like the sound of song thrushes, sheep and babbling brook then this is not for you. Beautiful old hotel building, with added "lodges" around it. Parking on site, literally 5 mins from Windermere and 10 mins from Coniston.

Although quite small, the single room exceeded my expectations with all the usual amenities including a television and a very comfy bed. All very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent and as I work in the hospitality trade myself, it was most certainly up to my high standards. The owners are lovely people and willing to help at every opportunity. The older parts of the hotel are lovely - lots of warm wood in Arts and Crafts style. Our newer room (one of the “lodges” was comfortable and very spacious with a good en-suite bathroom. The glamping pod was perfectly clean and towels/bedding amd all of the kitchen tools you would need were provided. 100% recommend here.
