Beautiful spot WISH we had booked two nights in a row as we hop around Ireland. Gorgeous cabin lots of space, cooking facilities big fridge and freezer and dishwasher. Oh and a coffee pod machine! Love the welcoming animals too :)

I didn't know what to expect and had trepidations about "shared common area" but that area was just a communal kitchen that was fully supplied and separated from everything else. The rest of the time we were out exploring or in our very comfortable and large room. There is a great restaurant about 300 meters away with fantastic food. And the lodging was in a super quiet location.

Rooms are what they are - Travelodge is a budget chain and you know what you're getting, but this was one of the nicer ones that we've stayed in.

We loved the grounds and walks and the leisure centre too. The only slight negarive we thought was the bar/restaurant. Not sure if it was the decor or furniture but it was seemed a bit of warmth and armosphere

The location is out of town - you need to drive rather than walk to places to eat etc - but that means it's peaceful and easy to find. Your receptionist couldn't have been more helpful with the advice she gave to my wife concerning her mobile 'phone which was stolen at reception in a different hotel, yesterday. A lovey base for exploring Lough Derg area and located in the lovely village of.Castle Connell. The hotel had a lovely pool and leisure facilities and the.lodges were nice and quiet.
