A hidden gem within the beautiful icelandic landscape. Great communication with the staff, simple self-check-in instructions. Beautiful star-lit sky. Huge windows that would allow you to experience the beauty of the Aurora Borealis. We were also allowed to do a late check-in and that was greatly appreciated.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden.

We had an awesome stay in our cabin. They are fairly remote but still easy to access if you have a 4x4 hire car (although one of our neighbours got snowed in for a while...) and are really nicely appointed inside, with comfy furniture, good internet, hot showers and plenty of dining utensils. The kitchen area is pretty small (with a microwave/oven combo and two little electric hobs) - but that was fine for our two-night stay. I could see the cabin being quite tight for groups of more than 2 people, and the upstairs bedroom is pretty tiny (with a very low ceiling), but for a couple it is perfect. Like other reviewers, we had some difficulties locking the door (the handle gets very stiff in the cold) but it always worked in the end. Overall, we had a really cute and romantic stay - and the cabin is perfect for star-gazing at night (and would have been perfect for viewing the northern lights if they had showed up!). Highly recommend!

We LOVED this beautifully decorated house. We enjoyed the hot tub on a chilly, rainy, windy evening. We enjoyed walking on the country roads. We loved gathering in the large and cozy living room. The kitchen was very complete. It was so nice to have two bathrooms and a washer and dryer! Beautiful views! totally quiet. Very private.

We didn’t realize this is essentially a fishing lodge when we booked - worked out fine though. Cabin/camp vibe, great hot tubs, views of river, great bar and breakfast!

Amazing lodges, we were a family of four, and had everything we needed for a self catered lodge. They are small inside, but we knew this, and it worked for us. Great location, clean and comfortable.

We loved the "lodge" feel of the hotel. The views were beautiful and the common room and bar area were very inviting. We enjoyed sitting in the glass windowed alcove enjoying the scenery while having a drink. The buffet breakfast was delicious and included a variety of items; certainly enough choices for anyone. The staff was excellent. Our room was cozy and clean and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel.
