Located on 3000 acres of land opposite Ocean Beach, Wharekauhau Country Estate boasts a day spa, a tennis court and an outdoor pool. It offers luxurious accommodation with bay views, included country breakfast and a gourmet 4-course dinner.

Each ocean-facing cottage features a double spa bath, a warming fireplace and antique furniture. All cottages have free Wi-Fi, an iPod docking station and an LCD TV with satellite channels.

We felt absolutely spoiled. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Will definitely be back even though it was a bit pricey.
