The hotel was exceptional. The location was excellent, and our room had an amazing view of the city. The breakfast was very good with eggs and bacon made to order and a delicious buffet of other treats. While everything was excellent, the service of the staff members was the most memorable part. They helped us arrange for restaurants in the evening as well as coordinated a tour at one of the wine lodges. The location is also excellent for accessing all of Porto and walking to Gaia.

The guesthouse has only 6 rooms and we had the whole of the top floor with wonderful views of Luis I bridge, the river and the port lodges. The property is in a great central location - perfect for exploring the city. But what makes this place a delight to stay at is the personal and warm welcome from our hosts. They could not have been more helpful - great recommendations for eating and things to do.

Fantastic location over looking the Douro and a five minute walk from the quayside with the port lodges of Gaia just over the bridge. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff really friendly, we really enjoyed our stay.

The view over the river towards the lodges is amazing. This does mean it is high up and can be lots of steps (this sums up Porto though). The property has everything you need, with a few outside options to enjoy. Highly recommended

The location is absolutely fabulous. Close to great bars and restaurants directly at the river. It’s also easy to walk from the hotel to most of the main sights in Porto and across the Dom Luis bridge to the Port lodges in Gaia. Luisa and her husband are great hosts. It’s worth getting a room with the river view if possible even though the room is a little smaller.
