All vegetables and fruits are from their own organic farm, and they taste stong and tasty.They are highly eco-conscious, which gave me a nice feeling. All solar-powered. The property was exceptional with amazing landscaping, facilities and five star hospitality. The staff were warm and welcoming. I will not hesitate to recommend The Retreat to anyone who is visiting Karatu or Ngorongoro Crater.

upon our arrival we were greeted with cold fruit juice. This was so wonderful we stayed an extra night. The staff was extremely accommodating. We had our clothes washed as well as our car while we were here. Our room was of sufficient size with a beautiful covered sitting area outside. Our meals were well prepared and delicious. The creamy soups were especially creative and tasty. The evenings were a bit chilly. Upon retiring to bed after dinner we found hot water bottles under our blankets. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and our room was bug free. Wi-Fi was good but only in the dining/lounge area.

Nestled amidst trees and flowers, the cozy hut provided a clean and comfortable stay, complete with a thoughtful touch like a warm water bottle in the evening. The delicious meals, presented with excellence, and the attentive staff added to the overall charm. The diverse range of activities, from visiting a local school to the awe-inspiring day safari in Serengeti, made my stay memorable. Looking forward to returning soon.

It is a good choice for proximity to Ngorongoro Crater, which has become so popular that you might encounter heavy traffic regardless of where you are (unless you really pay the extra cash to stay in one of the lodges within the conservation area). We were there in October, and the total trip, from lodge to entering the area (including paperwork at the gate) was about an hour. Overall a very good choice, no regrets.

Our safari was organized at the very last moment, and only thanks to the Foresight lodge did it happen. They booked a very experienced guide for us (Godi N.). We were recommended choosing the right part of Serengeti - and thus we managed to see migration, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, rhinos, hippos and 1000s of wildebeests and zebras. Furthermore, the food was always great.

The lodge is located up in the hills surrounded by nature, with a nice fireplace to relax and watch the sunset. Our room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view. The whole team was very friendly and always helpful. Anita, one of the managing partners, organized us a great safari experience with an experienced guide and driver. I highly recommend staying there.

You recognize lots of details made with love. The food is delicious. We had a amazing Safari tour with Ernest in the Ngorongoro crater, his eagle eyes for spotting animals are unbelievable! We would have loved to stay longer!
