It is family owned and operated which is quite apparent by the pride of ownership, the attention to detail, the user-friendly TV, cleanliness, most comfortable beds of all 5 lodges during our entire trip, charming breakfast room, beautiful furniture made by family members and the friendliness of the staff. Rooms have recently been refurbished, yet they managed to genuinely rustic Midwest feel. The Lodge is located in a quiet part of Gardiner, which is slightly set back from the city's main road, but all restaurants and other attractions are within a comfortable walking distance.
