Situated in Franschhoek, La Clé Lodge offers accommodation with a terrace or a patio, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as free bikes and a shared lounge.

Boschenmeer Golf Course is 28 km from the lodge, while Stellenbosch University is 30 km from the property. The nearest airport is Cape Town International, 62 km from La Clé Lodge, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.

Stole our hearts after several pit stops around the Cape. It’s one of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed in. The staff is very friendly and attentive, a lot of activities on site but also a perfect place to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to be back!

Located at the foot of the Franschhoek Mountain Range, Franschhoek Country Cottages offers accommodation within a wildlife reserve.

Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchenette and some units include a terrace and/or balcony.

This property was more than expected. We rented three cottages between our family. In total we had 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 6 weeks to 4. The accommodation fit us all well and cots and single beds were set up to accommodate the children. The yard was fenced and the view was absolutely stunning. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. You do need your own care as it’s a bit out of town which was fine for us. I highly recommend this stay and we will definitely return on our next trip home.

Looking for a lodge?

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

Lovely standard of accommodation we had the safari room which was huge with all of the amenities that we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and very good quality. The Avon droid is right on the Main Street, excellent location would highly recommend

We had our own privat lodge Hadida at the Chamonix Estate. Very beautiful location with a great view over the Franschhoek valley. Breakfast is perfect and staf is very friendly and helpful. The location is "far"outside Franschhoek, so you always need a car or taxi. Or walk 3.6km to Franschhoek

Kenny the host was brilliant at accommodating us. The initial room we staying in had multiple issues. Kenny assisted with placing us in a better room for the weekend, which was much better. Additionally, we were stuck in Franschoek due to the floods. The lodge was kind enough to allow us to sleep there for an additional night at no cost.

The Marco Polo Lodge is wonderfully characterful and comfortable. The tasteful decor retains the ambience of a former game reserve (although now toned down from the booking pictures). Wonderful scenic views across the valley and impressive mountains surrounds. Delicious made to order breakfasts. Very courteous and helpful staff.

Outstanding rustic chalet experiences in former wind yards. We stayed in the Lake Lodges and enjoyed the frog sounds from the little pond. Breakfast was served in the very colonial style main house. Very impressive

Amazing hotel, room was fantastic with spacious bathroom and kitchen/dining area. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel will take you around in a minibus from your lodge/cottage to the restaurant area. Restaurant and wine tour were also great. Highly recommend.
