Lovely lodge. We stayed there after 2 nights on the mountain by Tugela falls. The staff was so friendly. Beds comfortable and rooms very clean. The food was delicious and bar area was excellent. Booking the accommodation was easy and the staff were very good at getting back to me and accommodating our group of 12 with different requests.

The lodge has lots of benches to sit outside and watch the view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very neat and the bed was luxurious! We could see the mountains from our bed and the view changed each day with the weather.

The perfect location to hike the Tugela Falls ( chain ladder hike ) . Plenty of other nice hikes start right in frot of the Lodge. They can organise a transfer to/from the sentinel car park. This is great given the road is inaccessible for regular cars. The restaurant has a nice good menu. Lunch boxes can be ordered quite handy given the nearest shop is quite a distance away.

The view from the room is absolutely stunning, especially near sunset; you could literally sit on the bed and just gaze or read near the window (people were doing that outside on the benches). Prices for shuttle & dinner a la carte is very reasonable given the remote location. The lodge has a cozy nice, almost resort/lux-like vibe to it. Nice road from town to the lodge; no problem at all in sedan.

Unfortunately the weather was not accommodating to us whilst we were there so we could not go on the walk but the lodge kept us informed on weather conditions and safety. Our room was unfortunately quite cold and there was a leak in the ceiling. We did book a last minute spa option which was nice and the communal lounge was cosy.

if you want to the amphitheatre/chain ladder hike, this is the perfect spot. they also have access to a wealth of shorter, less intense hikes if you want to kill time. The views from the lodges are absolutely spectacular. The food is decent at the restaurant.

The staff was very friendly, and it is a super convenient location if you are planning to hike Tugela Falls! It’s also a great budget option compared to over priced lodges in the area.
