Spion Kop lodge is set in immaculate grounds with a beautiful swimming pool. Our bedroom was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Food was excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. The lodge has so much history and we really enjoyed our half day battle field tour with Richard. We would highly recommend a stay if you want to experience an authentic and peaceful stay in this beautiful part of South Africa.

The most beautiful view from the living area. Unpretentious lodging with everything you need for a couple of days' stay in the cottages. Enough wall plugs, conveniently placed. Very peaceful, yet close enough to everything in the area.

A magnificent and peaceful setting with incredible staff and hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable and the meals were excellent. The highlight of the stay was the half-day "Battlefields" trip to Spioen Kop and Mount Alice provided by our host/guide, Raymond Herron. Incredible! For bird enthusiasts, the bird life is prolific. All in all Spioen Kop Lodge is highly recommended and we look forward to a return trip. Our thanks to all.

The game drive with Allister was a beautiful educational experience. Patricia and Nonhlanhla and the rest of the staff made me feel at home. The serenity of the lodge was outstanding. Quiet night with crickets and mornings with birds chirping The food was exceptionall and yet very homely
