Set on 80 acres, each Waves & Wildlife Cottage features a large patio offering lovely sea views and outdoor furniture. Guests enjoy direct access to Stokes Bay Beach, one of Kangaroo Island’s most beautiful beaches. I absolutely loved this place. It is right above/next Stokes Beach, which was voted best beach in 2023, and has some of the best sunsets I have ever seen. When you have breakfast, kangaroos are hopping everywhere around your window (if you prefer to eat indoors). There are koalas in the trees a bit further and at dawn the wallabies come out. The owners make sure you have everything and even let us hand feed the kangaroos. I really enjoyed the silence of nature at night, this was my best sleep on my Australian travels (amazing blanket and pillow as well).

Visitors to Discovery Parks - Kangaroo Island can enjoy a hike through the forest surrounding the park. Many guests see Australian wildlife such as a koala, kangaroo or possum. Excellent location, very friendly staff, a lovely experience seeing kangaroos and koalas everyday. Clean and well kept caravan park. So handy having the food and drink available too. Would highly recommend :)
