Some units have a balcony and/or a patio with mountain or river views. Where do I start? The property was up the coast from Bahía Solano on Mecana Beach. A remote and beautiful part of the Pacific Coast. I didn't like the hotel I had originally booked so I quickly packed up and made this reservation last minute. I didn't know I'd have to take a boat from Bahía Solano (Mutis) to get there (I didn't read closely enough) but the owner Laura quickly arranged to have us picked up at the dock and we were sitting eating fresh fish and drinking cold beer after a short (20 minute) boat ride. This place was magical, both because of the setting but also largely due to Laura's energy and passion for the property. She is a warm, caring and accepting person and I feel lucky that we got to meet her and stay at her ecohotel. The food was delicious, fresh fish every day and everything was made in house. The place was perfect and just two minutes walk through the trees to the spectacular and peaceful beach. If you're the kind of traveller who needs air conditioning, sterilized rooms or you are high maintenance in any way I would say that this property is probably not for you. If you're like me and love to be close to nature and want to unplug and enjoy then don't hesitate to book here. I would go back tomorrow if I could!

The lodge offers a continental or American breakfast. Everything is just like a dream here! The place is perfect, in the middle of the beach, close to Termales and close to playa Guachalito. You can see the Whales from the beach and babies tortules!! The jungle is amazing! Claudia And Francisco are really kind people with good energy and relax. Claudia makes incredible food, you’ll eat a lot of fish!! The room has no Windows as it’s like a kinda hut but you have mosquito net and everything is super clean! You can view the ocean from the room as it’s just in front! Anyway it’s a paradise and we are sad to go…. I highly recommend this Bahia Terco!

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Property is well equipped, room was very comfy and a beautiful sea view. The food was amazing (thanks to Diana and Dayana for their love and unique cuisine). We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Irana. You have 5 km of beach only for yourself. Forget about crowded places and constant sellers, this is like having an island for yourself, surrounded by the jungle and the sea. Esteban and Marcela, both owners and administrators, will take care of all your needs. They are extremely helpful and will help you arrange all the activities you want to do. Despite coming during low season (not the whale season) we had plenty of choices and activities to do (we even did an amazing 6h hike through the jungle to a beautiful double cascade). Esteban and Marcela, besides our guide, came along and hiked with us. We will be back, for sure!

Set in Nuquí, El Retoño del Negro Gozón offers accommodation with access to a garden.

Some accommodation includes a terrace with sea views, a fully equipped kitchenette and a shared bathroom with bath or shower. The host were so incredibly friendly and nice. They greeted me with a coconut with a flower in it when I arrived and prepared coconuts for me often when I came back from a day. The room was right in front of the beach so I could go to sleep listening to the waves crash and watch the sunset from the hammock on my front porch. I was there during the low tourist season so it was very peaceful and quiet and this place is located between the two towns (about a 15 min walk to each town) so it was maybe the most peaceful place I’ve ever been. They also keep the grounds very clean, are very helpful with any questions, and Pengo is an excellent chef!

With sea views, El Vijo Surf is located in Nuquí and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden and terrace. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy an American breakfast. El Vijo is a paradise, I would especially recommend it for groups and couples. It is about a 20 mins walk to the next (very) small village, although the walk is not always possible due to the tide. Adolpho and Deude did an amazing job. The food was delicious and Adolpho very kind and helpful. As a solo traveller I would recommend somewhere else but for couples seeking tranquility or groups of friends looking for an amazing experience I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there.

An American breakfast is available daily at the lodge. The accommodation is located in a quiet bay which can be reached from nuqui in only 45 minutes by speedboat. During our stay, the whole family was there. They cooked for us every evening. It is also recommended as there are no restaurants in the area. Ideal location for trips to jovi and thermales. The rooms are functionally furnished and correspond to the standard in choco. Electricity was only available in the morning and evening. But this is the case with all hotels in choco. In general, it is very recommendable for relaxing and long walks on the beach.

Offering sea views, Finca El Regalo in Capurganá offers accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. This is the perfect place if you want to stay somewhere a bit more relaxing and away from the center of town. They help arrange tours, pickup to and from town. Breakfast was great! Nelson was wonderful, and attentive.

Located in a natural reserve, 50 metres from El Almejal beach and 1 km from El Valle city centre, El Almejal offers rustic accommodation with jungle views in Mutis. A restaurant and a pool sourced by natural water are featured on site. The good service, specially Luisa which took care of finding tours when the conditions were not ideal. Nice shelters. Everything was very clean. The jungle just a few meters with a long walk behind the hotel. Many animals to be seen from the hotel, lizards, squirrel, colibri... Avialable coffee and water. Night fire.

The rustic-style rooms here feature wooden décor and feature excellent views of the rain forest. They include a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. The dorm has a shared bathroom. Loved the shower it gave you privacy while also seeing the jungle!
